Good news! Our deliveries are proceeding as normal. Delivery time is currently approximately 7 days for standard delivery. Larger trees and shrubs are taking 10–14 working days.
We have put this page together to help you understand how deliveries work, and to answer some questions about returning goods due to a fault or change of mind.
There are three ways by which we deliver online purchases to you.
An Post Delivery (Seeds & Small Books)
Standard Delivery per parcel*
*parcels up to 25kg or within dimensions volume
*free delivery over €70 on standard items (excludes large/bulky items)
*multiple purchases qualify for combined delivery
Pallet Delivery (Large or Bulky items)**

If you’re in a hurry or live locally, there is a Click and Collect option on most items in our online store. Some items are for Click and Collect only. See below for more on this.
Standard Delivery is FREE on online orders over €70.
All standard deliveries will be completed within 5–7 working days via courier. You will be notified by our warehouse if there is a delay.
Furniture and large or bulky items are excluded from Standard Delivery (see Pallet Delivery below)
Only mainland Ireland addresses qualify for free delivery
We currently only deliver within the island of Ireland
A Note on Live Plants Delivery
Live plant delivery charges are not calculated on weight, but the space required per package to ensure safe delivery.
We have invested heavily in packaging for live plants. What’s more, they are packed with care and diligence by our staff. Our horticulturists review each plant before despatch to make sure conditions are optimal for the arrival of the plant in good condition.
Live plants are despatched within 3–5 working days where possible. Our couriers aim to deliver within 24 hours of despatch from our warehouse.
Pallet Delivery – Large or Bulky Items – €49
We have partnered with a specialist delivery service for furniture and large, bulky items. Please allow 5–7 days for this service, the courier will contact you before delivery to arrange a suitable time as you will need to be in to sign for your order.
Click and Collect
Can’t wait for delivery? Why not avail of our free Click and Collect service? Simply make your purchase online and select the Click and Collect option at checkout. Select which store you want to collect from, and our staff will contact you by phone when your order is ready for collection. Please allow at least 24 hours from time of order.
Some very heavy or fragile items may be Click and Collect only.
When collecting your item, please go to the collection points signposted in our car parks and call us on the number provided at the collection point. We will then load your item(s) into your car while maintaining social distance.
This service is available 9am–6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sundays.
If the stock isn’t available in your selected store, you will not be able to order the item.
No additions can be made to the order once you are on-site at the collection point.
If you change your mind…
At Arboretum we want you to be able to buy with confidence. Should you change your mind and wish to return your purchases*, we are happy to offer a full refund** or exchange within 28 days, provided you have proof of purchase, and the items are in a resalable condition. An exchange or credit note will be offered on sale items. We are unable to offer a refund, exchange or credit note on certain products for hygiene and safety reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If returning your item in person to an Arboretum store please ensure that you have a note of your order number to help the store quickly process your refund. Please note that you can return your item to either Arboretum store.

If there is an issue with your online purchase…
We pride ourselves on the quality of the items we stock; if the item you receive is damaged or faulty we want to rectify it as soon as possible.
You can call us on 059 9721558 and select option 5 ‘warehousing/deliveries.Please have the order number and the name of the item to hand. We may require you to provide video or photographic evidence of the fault so we can assess whether repair, replacement, or refund is the best solution for you.
If you prefer you can email us to email@example.com. Please include your order number, the name of the item and outline the fault or damage. Please attach images of the damage or a video of the fault where possible – this helps us to solve the problem for you faster.
5 Years Guaranteed to Grow…
Arboretum’s hardy plants are sold with a five-year guarantee to grow, should your plant fail, simply return it with proof of purchase and we will happily offer you a replacement.
Arboretum Online and Arboretum brick & mortar are considered two separate entities and price and terms may vary.

The delivery charge for an item purchased in store is not necessarily the same as the online delivery charge.
In-store delivery charges are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
