Betula Jacquemontii is a vigorous deciduous tree with brilliant white bark on the trunk and larger branches; ovate leaves turn yellow in autumn; yellow-brown male catkins open in early sping.

Characteristics:
Prunus 'pandora' is a small deciduous tree with a neat, vase-shaped crown and ovate leaves bronze when opening, dull orange in autumn. Single, pale pink flowers 3cm in width borne in profusion.
Time to ultimate height 10-20 years
Characteristics:
Crataegus laevigata 'Pauls Scarlet' is a rounded thorny-tree with spring blossom, lobed green leaves in summer and bright red berries in autumn. Crataegus are ideal small trees, well-suited to urban, windy or exposed situations, ideal for a large number of habitats.
These tough trees will cope with most soils and growing conditions, even thriving in coastal areas.
