Portuguese Laurel is a more refined and elegant alternative to the more common cherry laurel. It's smaller darker green leaves and deep red shoots make it a very attractive shrub. Not as vigour's as common laurel, it will take slightly longer to establish as a hedge but it's popularity is increasing year on year. Don't let its name fool you, it doesn't require Portuguese weather and is hardy well into minus digits.
Features:Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia'

Hardy to minus double digits, it's a great choice for someone who needs a hedge, quickly, that doesn't require much care. Prune in late spring once established, to maintain hedge shape.
