Whatever we cook, it’s because it’s the right season, because it’s local and because we want to eat it ourselves.
Rachel’s Garden Café at Arboretum Leighlinbridge and Rachel’s Secret Garden at Arboretum Kilquade are named for our founder, Rachel Doyle, a champion of great home-cooked food. At both cafés, you’ll find delicious food cooked from scratch on-site by our passionate chefs and served by our lovely team members who just want you to eat well.
From breakfast right through to late lunch, from healthy to hearty, hot to cold, you can rest assured that whatever you choose will be packed with flavour and made with love. We defy you to resist our sweet treats and desserts, all made in-house.
Our chefs are proud that everything on the menu is made using the finest ingredients. Where possible we grow our own herbs and seasonal vegetables. Our beef, chicken, lamb, pork and eggs are of 100% Irish origin and sourced from local suppliers through Bord Bia’s quality assurance scheme.
Our ethos is to use the best of Irish and local ingredients like Flahavan’s oats, Wicklow honey and O’Hara’s stout, which you’ll find in our iconic dish, Rachel’s Slow-Cooked Beef Stew. Special dietary needs are catered for with gluten-free, sugar-free and dairy-free options.
We have sampled scores of coffees and teas in order to bring you the best. We are proud to serve Bewley’s Coffee – choose from our bean-to-cup self-service machine or our barista counter. We supply a first-class range of loose-leaf, bagged herbal tea and original tea blends to suit every palate.
